A story from north of the border about Jason Bay comes via The Remy Report and John Lott of the nationalpost.com who writes about Bay's return to Canada to play baseball again.
It had been 13 years since Jason Bay played in the steel-and-concrete cavern they used to call the Sky-Dome. He was 16 then, a member of Canada's junior team, which met Puerto Rico in an exhibition game.
Bay did not imagine his return would come under such delicious circumstances. Until July 31, he was a member of the lowly Pittsburgh Pirates, for whom nothing is at stake in August except personal statistics and self-respect.
