A: ummm...remember that time they won it all??? that was pretty decent...
Q: If I owned the Red Sox I would...
A: retire tony c's number; $2 beer night on thursday, $3.50 every other night, $6 for two (i mean ya gotta make a lil money right? j.d.'s gettin 70 mil here!); lawn chairs up on that right field picnic area; $5 bleacher seats on sunday; make nesn available nationwide and don't black out the games, competency tests for people in box seats, bernie carbo night; if a game gets delayed for more than an hour, 2 free hot dogs and beers for everyone; to be a member of red sox nation, it would cost you exactly NOTHING!!!; everyone through the gate automatically gets into a raffle for an upgrade to two monster seats; i would have the final say on trades and signings, because if i did, we would still have bronson, freddy sanchez, and the o.c., and that clown in right would only be out in right when we are kickin the crap out of his team; have the cape league all-star game at fenway; a guest announcer for one inning every game; a red sox kids club, which would include $5 tickets to 5 home games, and a clinic/picnic towards the end of the year; 2 free beers if it's your birthday; let people sit out in center on afternoon games, and give them green red sox shirts to wear (sorry, no white hats); start a red sox academy somewhere in africa and in south america (maybe multiple); fireworks once a month; everyone that throws out a first pitch must be able to get the ball over the plate, and speaking of which, at least half of the first pitches thrown would be kids from dana farber or children's hospital; again, i'll think of other things...i've been thinkin about this for 22 years, so i need time to get everything out...

A: johnny pesky...how did you get to be so cool?...i need to take lessons...by the way, got his autograph, oh hell yeah...

A: a good team, but their management is under the impression that if they throw money at problems, they will get fixed...it's all about character! i mean if you have too many egos in one clubhouse, who knows? maybe you could lose four straight games to your arch-nemesis in the biggest choke job in the history of sports...it could happen...
Q: My favorite stadium other then Fenway Park is...
A: boston garden...never said it had to be standing...
Q: I wish Fenway Park had...
A: never changed...the screen over the monster, the 600 (408) club...i'm a traditionalist. that's what you get when you grow up in boston...

grew up in boston, and now i'm in charlotte. when the weather starts turning, you'll understand that move. anyway, i just graduated from the university of south carolina. i have a blog site i hope everyone will check out (mell-oonthemic.blogspot.com). also, i am writing for patriots insider, which is part of the scout.com site. i'm fairly laid back (turns out the name has meaning) and i dig all kinds of music...but mostly 50s-70s rock. but most importantly, i dig the entire new england sports scene...maine to the CT. hopefully there are others out there like that...that would be alright...
