Q: Who is your favorite player?
A: Mike Lowell
Q: What was the best season?
A: 2004
Q: My most memorable Red Sox related memory is...
A: Geez, I have a few. My first trip to Fenway was several years ago for a Sox/Yankee game. Even though I've been a fan my whole life, I had never been to Fenway until 2001..sad huh? I'll never forget coming up through the concourse and finally seeing the field, the Monster..I just stood there as tears ran down my cheeks. In 2004, when the Sox won the ALCS and calling my Mom & my sisters and crying on the phone (we're a family of saps, what can I say?); when the Sox won the World Series in 2004; jumping up & down in my living room here in Reno..waking up the kids so they could see the last out and running out into the streets spraying ourselves with champagne and having our neighbors come out and congratulate us; calling my Mom who was in St.Louis for Game 4 and crying with her wishing our Nana was still alive to see it. Most recently, taking my daughters to Fenway for the first time. It was my oldest daughters Birthday and even though we didn't get to take her to a game, we planned on taking her on the Fenway Tour; buying them their first Red Sox hats and seeing the looks on their faces the first time we told them where they were going and seeing their faces light up when they saw the field, the Monstah...all the history *sigh*
Q: If I owned the Red Sox I would...
A: Certainly get better seats than I get now? LOL Oh and I'd ban all pink Red Sox clothing..seriously. I would also make it more affordable for families to attend games. My kids want to see a game at Fenway SO bad but for decent seats for the 4 of us, I'd have to sell one of the kids LOL. There should be a few days set aside each season where tickets are cheaper (more attainable) for families that bring their children along. Baseball should be a game that everyone can afford.
Q: If I could ask one current or former Red Sox player or owner one question, I would ask...
A: all the players what it's like to play in a city where the fans are so passionate about the game and how it differs from places they have played before.
Q: The Yankees are...
A: loathesome, vile little creatures with over inflated egos where they definitely aren't deserved. WTF is up with the incessant curtain calls? "Oh YAY Jetes got a single! Everybody request a curtain call!" *GAG*
Q: My favorite stadium other then Fenway Park is...
A: Nothing compares to Fenway, but I have enjoyed my visits to The City of Palms Park in Ft.Myers, Jacobs Field in Cleveland and Safeco in Seattle.
Q: I wish Fenway Park had...
A: more comfortable seats that don't cost an arm and a leg, but at the same time, I don't want to change anything in Fenway.

I've been a Red Sox fan since birth..seriously. I have a picture of myself when I was a little over a year old and I have a Sox batting helmet on :) I enjoy watching almost any sport, with the exception of basketball, just can't get into that for some reason. Although I grew up in the New England area, I currently live in Reno, NV; I hate being away from "home", but I'm thankful that Red Sox Nation spans across the globe. I was in the Army for 4 1/2 years and have been an Army Wife for 10 years and I love getting to know Red Sox fans all over the World, so please feel free to add me to MySpace if you'd like: www.myspace.com/thatsoxgirl12

Our Father, who art at Fenway... Baseball be thy game. They Kingdom come, Playoffs need to be won, On Earth, then on to the Cask 'n' Flagon. Give us this day, a perfect Papi, And forgive us our losses, As we forgive those, Like Bill Buckner. And lead us not, into desperation, But deliver us from any losses. For thine is the Power, And the Glory, To beat the Indians, Forever and ever....the Yankees suck Amen posted @ 10/18/2007, 2:34pm |
