A new spin on rotation
bostonherald.com - Since it appears likely that Curt Schilling’s bum shoulder will prevent him from pitching for much, if not all, of this coming season, the Red Sox are going to quickly find out just how deep their starting rotation really is.
The Red Sox’ attempt to trade Coco Crisp may take on a new urgency if they decide their primary internal options - Clay Buchholz and Julian Tavarez - are not the way to go, at least to start the season.
A move of Crisp is still considered more likely than not, but now he could become part of a package that would bring the Red Sox another starting pitcher in return.
