Scouting Report: Former Alvirne High School star has battled some injury problems, but pitched very impressively in 2003 for GCL and Lowell. Fastball sits in the high 80s and reaches 91 mph. Jackson's high 70s curveball is up to par but his changeup needs refinement. In mid-2007 Jackson added a slider-cutter hybrid pitch that has been very effective early on. Throws first pitch strikes. Really needs to work on consistency - he has struggled with keeping a consistent release point. Lifelong Red Sox fan.
