All I'm saying is don't be too surprised. Remember how he shrunk in 2005. I love the guy but it is possible he will be outed by the report.

Fantasy camp survey
|
|
Holden wrote this 1 year ago on |
Okay. For my 30th birthday, my wife would get me a trip to the Sox fantasy camp. Would I enjoy it now, or should I wait till I am older? I'm curious about the age group. Please help. Time's running out

Thank you for making us great, Joe Torre. I'm actually sad that this rivalry will tank a bit. But if it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be where we are. Thank you

Timlin for Set-up
|
|
Holden wrote this 1 year ago on |
With Oki slowly dying and Gagne a complete flop, Timlin should regain his old role. He knows how to do it. His stuff has been good enough. And he can handle the pressure. What do you think?

Stop yelling at Devil Rays games (and I'm talking to you, girlie). It's bad enough I have to watch the D-Rays broadcast on Extra Innings, but for you to prove Gary Matthews Jr right is a travesty.

Damn MLB Extra Innings

Extra Inning has the FSN West broadcast. You would think that MLB would want to help the Jimmy Fund. I guess not.

Great day for baseball. Let's play two.

Happy doubleheader day everyone!!! Also, Happy Jimmy Fund Day. Though I don't mind helping the kids, expect a lot of comment from Tina Cervasio today and not a lot of depth and detail into the 2 games. Expect many interuptions to look like this: Cute Red Sox Girl
And though we welcome Clay Buchholz today and recall Jacoby, I would be remissed if I forgot to...

The death of SoxSpace
|
|
Holden wrote this 1 year ago on |
I am truly sorry to hear the news today that SoxSpace on MySpace has been deleted. However, to have a positive spin on the news, this decision by MySpace, whether it be Tom or Rupert Murdoch and the Fox Corporation (they own it), have felt the strong presence of Sawxheads.com. If spun the right way, this could make SoxSpace even stronger from transitioning itself from 88,000 to a couple of million strong. It is sad for Jared Carrabis and the amazing work he has done over the last three years....

Who's the guy...
|

Holden wrote this 1 year ago on |
...behind home plate? Tonight he's wearing a pink shirt and is right above the redsox.com sign. My face always gravitates towards his WASP-y exterior and I just need to know who and what this guy does. If you watch Game 4 of the2004 ALCS, he leaves the second after Papi hits the home run. I mean the second. Every replay of that swing, you see him leaving. I want to know who this guy is who spends so much for these tickets, goes to every game (including Royals and Rays games) and has the balls...

Gagne me with a spoon!!!!!!

Holden wrote this 1 year ago on |
Why Tito? Why? Why bring in Gagne in the 8th after Oki faced 2 batters? Why did you not walk Millar for a potential double play? Why, o why, did you not bring in Paps when we got in trouble? Why the insistent need to baby him? Why not bring him in when it is the most crucial? Why are we not 6 games up now instead of 4? Why does this one hurt really bad?

Who is a future retired number?
|
|
Holden wrote this 1 year ago on |
I have been wondering lately if there will be any players from this present era that can have their number retired by the Red Sox. I would love to take my son to the games and tell him about the heroes of 2004 when he asks about whose numbers are on the right field roof. So who from this era has a legitimate shot at garnishing a retired number.
Here's the criteria (In case you forgot):
1. Must play in Boston for ten years
2. Must have retired as a member of the Red Sox, including player...
