|
|
WNY Papi wrote this 1 year ago on |
So, what does eveyone think. Was last night Curt's last game as a Red Sox? Will Theo resign Curt in the off season? Is Curt getting too old, and rehab taking too long to be a fulltime player?
Dont get me wrong, I would love to see him back. But, there are a lot of issues that say the time as come to salute a great warrior and say good-bye

WNY Papi wrote this 1 year ago on |
Terry Francona, who has the highest winning percentage of any Red Sox manager since 1950 (375-273, .579) and is the first manager to take the team to the postseason three times, will be given a contract extension after the season, club sources confirmed yesterday.
Francona, whose contract was due to expire after the 2008 season, is expected to have at least two more years tacked on.
Perhaps the only surprise is that it hasn't happened already. Managers Joe...

From the dawn of time we came, moving silently down through the centuries. Living many secret lives, struggling to reach the time of the gathering, when the few who remain will battle to the last. No one has ever know we were among you ……until now.

Its All About RISP

WNY Papi wrote this 1 year ago on |
It is all about RISP hitting stats. Have you noticed the last two games (ALCS 3 and 4) the hits for each team were the same. So, what the difference? RISP batting percentages.
The Indians get hits that count. Hits that advance/score runners. We have failed to do that in the last two games.
The back to back to back HR's were nice last night. A new record. Big hits for sure. But, little reward for those monster shots.
What we need to do is get men on base, then go...

Ok, so after Saturday night, I am still looking forward to Monday night in Cleveland. A nice early start and a 3 hour drive, moving across three states and I will be there!
Section 116 right by the right field foul pole. Look for the sign.
Anyone else going in person or spirit.
Time for us to show the tribe who they are messing with.
Plan on taking lost of pics and posting here after the game.

In Defense of Eric Gagne.

WNY Papi wrote this 1 year ago on |
Ok, officially Gagne was charged with 2 earned runs last night. One hit, one walk, one K.
But, when he was pulled the two earned runs were still on base. Friday night, he got himself into a jam. He also got himself out of that jam.
Was it a great outing? Hardly!
