J.D. Drew’s next stop in doubt
SoxisSickies found this 3 months ago on www.bostonherald.com

J.D. Drew was moving more nimbly when the Red Sox [team stats] departed Toronto on Sunday, but the veteran outfielder might be bound for the 15-day disabled list if his lower back tightness doesn’t allow him to play tonight in the first of three games against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium.

Drew hasn’t played since Aug. 17, when he was forced to exit at Fenway Park [map] after only three innings. The Sox have been further short-handed by the unavailability of Sean Casey, who was sidelined in Toronto by a stiff neck. It also remains to be seen how sore Jacoby Ellsbury [stats] will be after slamming into the right field fence at Rogers Centre on Sunday running down Adam Lind’s fourth-inning fly ball.
