That's because the Post and News have much livelier headlines. Can't beat the News' 'Farce of July' and Newsday's 'Scorn on the 4th of July" - when it comes to pulling in readees, the tabloids' banners beat the Times hands down. :)
An honorable mention to today's Post headline on the "Dead Bats Society" - not a 4th reference but
