Drew suffers another setback

Hearing about Drew's death in his family from both Boston News and a fellow SH, got me to wondering if RSN made it a habit of sending someone like JD condolences. We all cheer for him when he plays, we all supported him last year even though he hit into so many double plays and look what he did for the Sox in the playoffs? Now I wonder if there is something we can do for him. I have already sent him a Hallmark Card and I would encourage all loyal fans to do the same.

My Grandmother died last month and if he was as close to his grammy as I was to mine, I can surely understand his sorrow.

Absolutely BostonBabe...My condolences on your loss. My Grandmother passed in 1982 and I still miss her. ): Piggybacking on the idea to send cards to JD... How about instead of shelling out $3-$5 for cards he will probably just throw away- You can go to The Jimmy Fund website and donate $5. CaliGrown...I can understand your sentiments about "loyal fans", but this is only about one person caring and understanding what another person is going through. I have been in that same situation a little over 3 yrs ago, and I can understand what JD's family is going through. Red Sox family is here to support the Red Sox and each other. BostonBabe, a card or the Jimmy Fund are both great ideas...thank you for posting this.

	Not a matter of growing up, I just cant stand her or her fake sympathy. I feel for JD Drew but he's a grown man, he is a professional and he will do just fine. Hopefuly Drew use that as motovation to pick this team up and bring home a penant. 09/13/2008 7:12 PM
