About Me
Heyo, my name is Rob and I'm a huge red sox fan. I live in a small town called Kennebunk in Maine. It sucks. I'm the quarterback for my high school football team and captain of the wrestling team. I haven't played baseball since middle school, but I love the Red Sox. I wish I could get to more games, but they're so damn expensive. But the Sox AA team is the Portland Sea Dogs, just 25 minutes north, so I see them play a lot.

YAY! I love tellin people... Someday I'll write a book about it. But anyways Before July 7th, 2003 at 7:05 PM I hated baseball. I pretty much hated all sports and thought they were all boring to watch. Well me my mom and sister went to Chicago to visit some of my mom's family. She didn't tell us before we left that she had tickets to see the Cubs vs. Marlins. It was the day of the game and I was really sick and usually when your sick you stay home. My mom begged me to go to the game with her and my sister. I finally gave in so she would shut up. Keeeep in mind that i HATED baseball and was already in the worst mood ever because I was sick. We got in the City and it was the first time my mom was there in a long time. Usually girls are bad with directions.... MY MOM WAS. We got on a train but got off at the wrong stop. Then we got on a bus but it was the wrong bus. So on top of being sick, hating baseball but going to see a baseball game anyways... I was gettin pissed of and frustrated. We finally had to call a taxi to take us to 1060 W. Addison (heaven on earth, wrigley field). We walked into wrigley and they gave us 3 scratch and win cards for a Dusty Baker signed ball. Of all 3 cards it was MY card that won. I didnt even know who dusty baker was though. And throughout the night I became a diehard cubs fan. I couldnt really tell you why. Something about wrigleyville, and walking off the street right into the stadium, and how it gave me chills to be at a place i could careless about, and the fans that talked to you like you've known eachother forever, and the 7th inning stretch, and the ivy on the outfield wall just got to me. Then we went on a tour of Wrigley field and I fell even more in love with it. It runs in the family on my moms side... Were all cubs fans ...View More posted @ 08/10/2007, 11:31am |
