Q: Who is your favorite player?
A: Carl Yastrzemski
Q: What was the best season?
A: 2004
Q: My most memorable Red Sox related memory is...
A: It's a toss-up. Could be either of these: First game at Fenway - 1973. Red Sox vs. Orioles. Luis Tiant vs. Jim Palmer. Sox get a solo shot from Ben Oglivie in the 12th and win 2-1. Oh yeah, just to make me feel very old (and point out how the game has changed), both starting pitchers went all 12 innings. Or it could be this: September 1986. Visiting a friend at BU, I walked over to Fenway and scalped my way in (nearly got arrested buying the ticket). Saw the Sox clinch vs. Toronto. Unbelievable game.
Q: If I owned the Red Sox I would...
A: Lower the price of Monster seats.
Q: If I could ask one current or former Red Sox player or owner one question, I would ask...
A: I would ask Lou Gorman if he had ever actually seen Jeff Bagwell play before he traded him to Houston.
Q: The Yankees are...
A: a motivation to constantly improve and play hard and a reminder to never, ever get that arrogant.
Q: My favorite stadium other then Fenway Park is...
A: Miller Park in Milwaukee. Best tailgating in MLB, hands down. The house that Bud built is a really great place to see a game.
Q: I wish Fenway Park had...
A: more championship banners hanging inside.
Lifelong Red Sox fan originally from CT and now living in the heart of NASCAR country. Luckily for me, there are tons of Sox fans down here. Grew up going to Bristol Red Sox (and later New Britain Red Sox) games and still have my old programs with the autographs of Boggs, Barrett, Tudor, Clemens, Hobson, etc.

The once lucky hat has gone through quite a transition. It was put away in a dark closet for several games. I took it out last Thursday for ALCS game 5. I haven't wore it, but will sit it in a chair in front of the TV set. So far, so good!!! Happy World Series Game 3 Day. All the best! - John posted @ 10/27/2007, 11:51am |
