About Me

I am originally from Brockton,ma. I grew up with wood bats from the 50's and now I am still playing baseball in Lowell,Ma Boston and tournaments around the country. I am retired from the Military as I was a Paratrooper in the USA and later after retirement became a contractor for many years and now I am a writer. My Book , The Eastside Kid ,by me John F DeCosta found at; www.trafford.com/07-0885 I also write a column in the Town newspaper and mostly play baseball anywhere I can find a game.I actively play baseball for over 30 leagues in lowell,Ma an over 40 league in Boston, and I go to Tournaments in Las Vegas,Phoenix,Cooperstown,NY,and Numerous places in Florida.Baseball has consumed my life and I am happier because of it.My 5 heart attacks only slowed me down as I continue to fight and swat the odds against me just to play one more game but my desire is to challenge myself and inspire others to follow my lead.
