State of the Nation 10/04/2007

10 more wins needed. Josh Beckett was awesome last night. I guess he is a BIG GAME pitcher. I believe during the game, kept hearing a collective sigh of "we gotta get through this guy" from the six teams in the playoffs. Don't get me wrong, I'm not ready to start printing the 2007 World Series Champs shirts.  It was a great to watch a pitcher that you have followed all year, pitch that good and that dominant for nine innings. His performance gave the bullpen a few extra days to ponder their own individual greatness. This is another special team, and although they couldn't possibly top the feelings that breaking the 86 year drought of championships left you with, but it still a great start!!!

i am going to fully agree with this!! i mean, beckett is AMAZING and always seems to pull it out in clutch playoff situations!! last night's game was a must win and he pitched a complete game!! that is so awesome!! and as far as getting the warm tingyly feelings all over again, yeah, 04 is obviously one for the record books, but i think that if/when the red sox take it this year it will be a complete shift of dynasties!! the yanks havn't won since we did, and if we can get, even just 2, in there before they try to take it away...all the momentum will be on OUR side!! so i say BRING IT!! all the other teams in the play offs...BRING IT!! this team has proven over and over again to be a superior one...and now that everyone is healthy and strong...i feel a tad bit unstoppable!! i hope they feel the same way and that game one gave them the boost they needed to push themselves through every other team!! im very excited to see how this post season plays out...i'd be an understatement to say i have a good feeling about it, but like you, im not printing any 2007 WS champions shirt............yet............. 10:00 AM

	BECKETT was IS fantastic!! What a way to start off. Nothing but his all was given...as usual. I feel it in my bones that the SOX ARE going to take it this year. I would be willing to go out there and PRINT THOSE SHIRTS! 2007 CHAMPIONS!! 10:16 AM

11 games to win the world series...now 10. Yesterday was good...very very good, I think Dice K is built for these situations and he's gonna come through but the one I'm hanging for is Schill on the road. I still think the best is yet to come and thats the scary part. I do worry about our bats though however having said that I'm down with OC....from that famous movie Bring it on Isis: You wanna make it right? Then when you go to Nationals... bring it. Don't slack off because you feel sorry for us. That way, when we beat you, we'll know it's because we're better. Torrance Shipman: Oh, I'll bring it. Don't worry. Isis: I never do. 	Beckett rocks, enough said, head to head with another cy young award candidate for the third time and for the third time he won, and not just won but dominated, if he doesnt win Cy Young there is something screwed up in this world, with that being said GO DICE-K!!! 6:26 PM

	I agree Beckett but for some reason I reckon they'll go with Sabathia on the Cy Young award. Similar stats and Sabathia has thrown 41 more innings than Beckett. For the love of god I hope I'm wrong on this one !! 9:14 PM
