State of the Nation 10/22/2007
What can we say about Terry Francona. Well, how about this? Terry Francona is the first Red Sox manager in 92 years to manage the Boston Red Sox to the world series twice. That to me is amazing. In all the years the Red Sox have been the Red Sox. Only two managers have got them to the world series more than once. Of course, when you think about it when the team only gets to the world series six times in that 92 year span, your manager isn't going to stay around long. Terry never has to worry about paying for a meal in this town if he doesn't want to. This team is different than the 2004 team. Schilling is not going to blow people away. Beckett is definitely better than Pedro, (sorry Pedro). Our closer is not only a great closer, but a great clogger. Dancing with the stars is going to be calling soon!!! All and all, this is going to be a great series, and Red Sox Nation will be stocking up on morning coffee and alarm clock may need to be replaced after but.................Bring on the Rockies!!! GO SOX!!!
