BULLPEN TO THE RESCUE????

In a grueling pitching duel last night, Our Boys held on strong........ESPECIALLY the PEN!!!!!!!!
Last nights Dinnertime game here was a great one! In the final game of a sweeping series against the Seattle Mariners, Young Gun Clay stood strong! Giving up three runs on two homers, but striking out seven in his pitching duel with those who come from rainland!
 
Coming out with the game tied, Theo showed he meant business when asked about the trade deadline saying "we will make our moves from within the family", he sent in Young Gun Justin Masterson aka The Mastah in mid-relief! Facing 8 batters, The Mastah Mastahed them all! Say that 5 times fast!
going deep into the 11th inning.....and not to mention deep in the pen.....Paps had a scary moment with runners at first and third, only to have Mike "Mr.Double" Lowell catch a grounder and send it around the horn for a spectacular double-play, foiling the rainmens chances of walking off with a win!
Then in true form, with the bases loaded, Mr. Double becomes the clutch guy and sends a lovely basehit over to right field allowing two to score in the 12th inning! As if we really needed any more insurance than that, Sean "The Mayah" Casey got himself an RBI single to tack on one more run for good measure!
Things again got a little shaky in the bottom half as Hansen loaded em up to get our blood a runnin and foreheads a sweatin, only to finally get that last out to seal the deal and end the game at last!
All in all, a great game by all.....with BIG kudos to Mikey Lowell and Young Guns Buchholz and Masterson! I always liked this kid The Mastah.......and I think in mid-relief, he may be the answer we've been looking for to get er done, and amp the othah guys into doing the same on a consistent basis! Kudos also to the Brass on this move......A+ from this Rootah! LGRS!!!!!
