Make a Yankee Prediction!

Here is something that could be a fun little game (even if it is just hypothetical). We all know that the Yankees are DONE this season, not making the playoffs, see ya next season! What do you think that the future holds for our hated rival? Will Brian Cashman keep his job, or will Hank Steinbrenner become a player/gm/manager because he knows how to right the ship? Will the Yankees have another blockbuster trade on the table and pull it back because Phil Hughes, Ian Kennedy, and Melky Cabrera are too valuable to the future of the franchise? Maybe George Steinbrenner will tell his kids that he has "had enough" and retake the reigns and promptly sign Frank Thomas, Ken Griffey Jr, Barry Bonds, and Greg Maddux to high dollar, long term contracts?

Your examples can be as true as you think they might be, or as far fetched and "zany" as well. So, what is going to happen??

I think the Yanks will fire Cashman, go back to the spending days and drop the kids. Cabrera is gone for sure, Hughes might stay but I think he gets traded and Kennedy is long gone. They won't sign Manny but they will someone big. They will become stacked with old corner outfielders, old usta be pitchers, and no top prospects. It will be the 80's all over again. Now a fun one...Hank thinks it is a good idea to have Mariano Rivera as a starter, when he blows his arm out in May he fires Brian Cashman. So Hank brings in Wayne Cashman thinking NY fans are dumb and won't notice because he has the same last name...he then petitions to have the All-Star game at the new Stadium citing it is a new venue. 	This is interesting. The Manny going to the Bronx is something I can see happening for real. Same with CC going there. I think Petey's contract with the Mets is up this season too. I'm not exactly sure but I think Yankees have a club option for Giambi for 09. It would be really funny if they excercised that option. 08/26/2008 1:06 PM

	I think that CC will stay in the NL...he really seems to love to bat! I saw an interview with him and he said that he likes getting a clutch hit more than a clutch strike out. CC to the Mets, Sheets and Manny to the Yankees. 08/26/2008 1:27 PM
