About Me

An old third generation Red Sox geezer originally from Andover, Mass. Now lives in Atlanta. Can be found most nights on MLB.com and talking on the cell phone to my 82 year-old Pappy in Florida who also watches the Beloveds on MLB.com.I have a wife and two kids who are appropriatly Red Sox brainwashed and we travel to 6 or 7 games a year, mostly against the juggernaut Tampa Bay Rays or formerly great Orioles.
Huge Yaz fan and sadly, I attended the game Tony C got beaned.1967 was the last year I lived in New England except for 2001 when I taught tennis lessons at Ipswich Country Club for the summer, went to 11 Sox games while it was still possible, and ate more fried clams than 20 men!
I usually lurk on these kinds of boards with only occasional input because the knee-jerk daily second-guessing drives me nuts!
I am also a big Grateful Dead fan and a political liberal at heart. I think that there is more common ground between liberals and conservatives than we realize and that is maybe true for Red Sox and (choke#@!*) Yankees fans also.
