Ok, so I was browsing through people's profiles and came across another pet peeve of mine! (I wonder if it comes with being a bandwagoner, but this person said she was a lifelong fan!)
So....my new pet peeve is......people who spell "Red Sox" wrong!!!!! It's not that f*&kin complicated, especially if one claims to have loved the Red Sox for sooo long and with passion!
Here, let's all look at this for an example....
"I'am a 33 year old from Salt Lake City, Utah. I lived in Massachusetts for 6 awesome years, 1994 to 2000. I grew to love the Red Sox's. My number one passion is the Red Sox's."
First, it's Red "Sox"...Sox is the plural of sock, used in this special way for a certain baseball team from Boston, and also the Chicago White Sox. And, my other pet peeve, I guess it comes from being edumacated, is the improper grammar...what the hell is "Sox's?!?!" Is she refering to something that belongs to the Red Sox, as in possesion, with the apostrophe?
OK, SHE GREW TO LOVE THE RED SOX AND LIVED IN MASSACHUSETTS FOR "6 AWESOME YEARS", YA THINK SHE'D HAVE SEEN "RED SOX" WRITTEN ENOUGH TIMES TO KNOW HOW TO SPELL IT?!?!?!
There is also the example of fans calling them the Red Socks....ugh! Ahhh duh, if you liked them, you'd know what to call them, and how to spell it!
I'm looking for another idea for a Red Sox tattoo, to prove yet again my diehardness; maybe I'll get one with "Red Socks" on it!
