About Me
I've been following the Red Sox since the only team they were ahead of was the Washington Senators! Although I live in Yankee-land, I have never strayed. I was a finalist for president of Red Sox Nation, but somehow, 12 other people and I were dropped by the Red Sox "electoral college" and replaced by 12 other people and Big Pupi, the dog from Texas. (As a side note, when I was in the eighth grade at Bicknell Junior High School in Weymouth, Mass., I wrote a paper decrying the Electoral College in the United States, saying it was no longer needed for reasons that would take a five-page paper to explain. How prophetic was that?) Now, did we REALLY need a Red Sox electoral college, I ask you? The original finalists were the originals! I guess I should be happy to have been on that list, but...How cool would it have been to live among the Yankee fans and be president of RSN, I ask you??? I am waiting to hear the results of the "gubernatorial election" for RSN now. I "ran" for governor of New York. The hanging chads are being counted as we speak...

Thanks for the comment. I have so many stories from way back then. The people from today have no clue. I remember when the organ played so loud (Mr. Kiley!) and the seats were so empty that it echoed like the Grand Canyon! The ushers used to let us go into the box seats after the seventh inning when we were in the bleachers or the right field grandstand seats. We've seen it all!

I'm still editing. With my new job, I'm a little busy. I will focus on it when baseball is over. I'm not much of a football fan! My tennis team made the sectionals and we have to play off against teams from Buffalo, Long Island, New York City and Syracuse next weekend, so we have practices this weekend. Keep your fingers crossed--if we win, we go to nationals in Las Vegas at the end of October! The last time I went to nationals was in October 2004--got to watch the Sox come from behind in the 2004 playoffs against the Yankees and then WIN!!!
