I just went through the 2008 regular season schedule to look up past Red Sox/Rays info. I'd thought I'd share what I found:
- Tampa won series *10-8 ( * 5 of these wins were by one run)
- Red Sox were 7-2 at home
- Tampa were 8-1 at home ( 4 games were by one run)

If anyone can offer a logical explanation for this question, I'd really appreciate it.
Why do these guys continue to bat from the left side even though their numbers for batting on the right are so much better. I understand what they are TRYING to do, but bith Tek and Mr. Jed have been God awful batting lefty. What's the harm in sending these guys up to bat from the right against Lackey tonight? It can't hurt.

| I am adding to my Red Sox Shrine. On either side of the retired numbers I want to add five 8x10 photos of the most memorable Red Sox moments. I just found a great black & white of Fisk's 1975 WS HR. I'm also thinking of getting a photo of "The Steal" from 2004.

I've been organizing what is now the only Jimmy Fund fundraising event in all of New York state for telethon weekend (August 14th & 15th.)
In looking at the events page, it looks like there are only 4 events in four states the works right now.

I have heard talk that both the Braves and Rockies are shopping Mark Texiera and Matt Holliday respectively.
Word is that for Texiera, the Braves are wanting Youk and Craig Hanson in return. This is a joke, because we all know Youk is a homegrown product, he's all heart, and gives 100% everytime he hits the field. These's no way Youk goes anywhere. Hanson on the otherhand, I could see him being packaged up in a deal.

We're within striking distance and have a chance (with a little help) to take our rightful place atop the AL East before the All-Star Break.

| I just looked at tonight's lineup and was thrilled to see Ironman Kevin Youkilis is back playing 1st. I was surprised to see him in the 3 spot and looked down the rest of the order to see that Brandon Moss is in right field!
I am sure there is a method to the madness, but I'm thinking we might need some offensive firepower to get Wake some run support.
I like Moss and I'm all for getting the kid some play time, but...

I must confess that after seeing the D-Backs go up 4-1, I was thinking "IT'S OVAH" given the lack of offense we've had lately.
I was switching over to watch the bucs hand the yanks their asses between innings just to keep my spirits high, then turned back to NESN just in time to see Lugo start off a 4 run, 8th inning rally. It was great to see Tek hit in the winning run.

| Ticket sales for Christmas at Fenway were a joke! I am fortunate enough to have got tickets. There seems to be a problem with the way this whole sytem is set up. | The last several years, the Red Sox have had an event called "Christmas at Fenway." This is where the Sox set up a lottery system to choose fans that can go to the park and get first crack at April, May, and some September games. The Red Sox have also opened up this opportunity to fans that want to call into the box office for tix as well as internet sales.

| As I open the door of my home to head of to work tommorrow morning the sun will be shining, the birds will be singing, and I will be on top of the world. It's a great time to be a Red Sox fan right here in central New York state.
With a Red Sox win already in hand and tonight's yankee blowout, the icing on the cake is that it is Friday and I have a three day weekend ahead of me.
