Starting Pitchers. ALCS
October 8, 2008

This seems to be the topic of alot of discussion among the nation. I even called Joey (Dynasty RSM) from work to chat about this yesterday.

After alot of talk, and analysis heres what I came up with.

Game 1: Dice-K.
Game 2: Beckett
Game 3: Lester
Game 4: Wakefield
Game 5: Dice-K
Game 6: Lester
Game 7: Beckett

Some people are guna say "WAKE??!!" and I tell you this, IF Wake is going to pitch, it NEEDS to be at Fenway (outside), he cant pitch in that dome. We've seen it time and time again.

IF things get out of control for Wake as they have from time to time, we will know right away. He is either on or hes not, right? So if things even start to look shakey, Byrd is right there, all it takes is a phone call.

Another notion I toyed with is, have Wake start, pitch 3 or 4, bring in Byrd for a few then let the pen do its thing. But that just seems to outa whack, even for TIto.

Respect, Loyalty, Family.

The Poet..
Up until last season Wakefield had never lost a game at the Trop. I think he probably has 3 losses there in his career. Granted, they've all recently, but I'd still have faith in him at the Trop. I just did a quick search to find his record there--9-3 lifetime and also found this article--http://bleacherreport.com/articles/66229-tropicana-knuckle-punch-why-is-there-no-talk-about-tim-wakefield That being said I definitely want to start the series with our three aces and let them do what they need to do and let Wake pitch the clincher at Fenway ;) ...View More

Believe ..
I'm all for giving Wake the start in either place. Tim has been a warrior and I think he can do it. He gets in trouble, plan B. Go Sox!
