The Sox are always scheduled to open on the road because of the homestand that ends on Patriot's Day. 2008 would be no different if the season opened in the US. I like that the first 2 games take place more than a week before the regular season. Think about this: Beckett pitches the opener vs Oak (and then I think the Sox would be nice and pitch Dice-K in game 2 in Tokyo), then Curt pitches Apr 1 in Oak, and you get Beckett again in game 4 of the season on Apr 2. If they did this, then Beckett would pitch the home opener after the Sox play a 3-game set in Toronto. ...View More
