Hi, haven't blogged for a while, not much is called out to me, outside of the rigamarole, and drama in the life as we speak: BUT. . BUT one thing .. people talk about music. .and what ONCE WAS, hey I do too. . it's a common thing, but I have to interject a little reality check into it:
There's a young dude, New Englander even, who is TEARING up the scene, works with some of the best musicians. . . Charlie Haden, Pino Pallandino, Clapton, Herbie, Steve Jordan, and more. . . . the thing about him, is. . people don't expect to see a young clapton, SRV, Hendrixx anymore, with this modern music of Pop / Hip Hop / Crap that's out there. . . .
Don't get me wrong. I LOVE pop. . i love good hooks, and good production, but I miss. . dig great Live music, where remember this: the live performances were different than the albums, they went off into a different groove, cooked on it. . ENJOYED it. . the live experience was just THAT.. an experience, this young "gun" . this guy. . is. . just that. . a live MACHINE. reminds me of early prince, the creativity, the versatility, and his solos are SCREAMING.
so my brothers and sisters, I ask you to NOT give up hope, to NOT curse modern music, but to embrace . . .. as I give you. . ..
John Mayer at his best, a salvation, and hope of modern music, that he DOES exist, and is being rewarded for what he does!
