I am sorry but this type of hypocrisy sets me off...
to quote sheilds after them game last night..

"I'm all about protecting my players," Shields said. "I think what [Crisp] did [Wednesday] was an absolutely dirty move. It's bush league and it's not supposed to be in the game of professional baseball."

We all knew that there were going to be repercussions after Wednesday's game, but to hit coco during his first at bat, during the second inning when you are down 3 to 1, after already hitting pedroia, getting yourself ejected from the game early (when you are clearly a better pitcher than balfour), and then admitting after the game that you hit a player on purpose, all but guaranteeing a 10 game suspension, is the epitome of bush league.

It is one thing to protect your teammates, it is another thing to not think logically and screw the rest of them over, make the game that much easier for the sox to win and effectively render your bullpen useless for the next game.

So thanks for the easier win shields, and if you are going to act so bush league yourself, you better work on your aim
