Goodbye Manny...

I must admit im upset to see Manny go, very upset...as much as I knew it was his time to go I didn't want to believe it. The trade leaves so many unanswered questions to be answered over time. Can Bay handle the pressure of playing in front of the most passionate fans in all of baseball or will it be another case of the Rentarias? I could not even begin to describe to you my feelings right now on this whole situation, scared, disappointed, angry, and excited all in one big ball. Manny's a future member of the Hall I know what he said and how he's been acting is wrong but I loved Manny he gave the Sox some personality, and was party of making the Sox who they are.throughout his 8 year stent with the Sox Manny's given us 2 World Series Titles and was the MVP in the World Series that ended our 86 year drought not to mention the curse. Right now I don't know where Jason Bay fits in that spot or if he can even come close to filling Manny's shoes. Bay's young, and swings a great bat I just hope he can fix this mood in the clubhouse and turn how we've been playing around and turn into another trade that makes Theo look good. What we gave up in return for Jason just goes to show you how bad the Sox really wanted t get rid of Manny. Im staying positive in the sense that Bay will turn the energy level up at Fenway not only on the field and the Red Sox can focus on getting into the playoffs now as apposed to hearing about the next Manny saga. Time will only tell what will happen next. Goodbye Manny thanks for a great 8 years full of 2 championships and laughs you'll always be remembered in Boston. But for now it looks like I need to make a trip down to the Red Sox team store to pick up a new jersey.
