Sox & Angels meet again
It seems like we are always playing the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of California in the West Coast of the United States (or whatever their team name is)
This series has some pretty good pitching matchups.
Game 1: Jared Weaver (1-3 3.60) comes into Fenway Park to take on our ACE Josh Beckett (2-1 5.12). Weaver hasn't faired that well against the Red Sox, look for our offense to deliver the same type of run production. Beckett should again prove why he is one of the few true "aces" left in the game.
Prediction - Red Sox 5, Angels 2
Game 2: Jon Garland (2-2 4.81), the former White Sox righthander will have his first shot at the Sox in an Angel uniform. He will go head to head against Daisuke Matsuzaka (4-0 3.14). Dice-K has been brilliant so far this year, with 4 wins vs. 0 losses. I see Dice-K having another high pitch count however, as he needs to really work on going deeper into games. Yet, he will do enough for a victory.
Prediction - Red Sox 7, Angels 5
Game 3: Joe Saunders (3-0 2.15) the big lefty will toe the rubber with his record unblemished. It can be said he has been the most consistent of the Angels starters to date. He will be opposed by Boston's young lefty Jon Lester (1-2 5.06). Lester has struggled so far this year, I hope to see him get off the snide and have a quality start. He is due!!
Prediction - Red Sox 4, Angels 2
