Red Sox fans get rude treatment in skankeeland

Two Red Sox fans were escorted out of Yankee Stadium yesterday after getting what local skank fans thought was a little too vocal in their support of the Sox. Apparently, it’s OK if their own fans can intimidate and assault Sox fans, but not the other way around. The officer initiated contact with the Sox fan among heightened tensions already present with hundreds of sk

ank fans shouting their famous ‘@$$#0le’ chant. (Takes one to know one, I say.) I’m sure NYPD knows how volatile it can be for a Sox fan in skankee land and should have handled the situation much differently. The Sox fan was wrong to resist, but was provoked by the officer into escalating the incident even further before realizing that she was not going to see the remainder of the game, which the Sox won 11-3.

This is much ado about nothing...IMO...what do you expect here ??? You have to turn your shirt inside out @ Fenway if it's deemed 'offensive';things should be different at other ballparks ??? OK, Mikeymomo, have you calmed down yet? This post has nothing to do t-shirts and marketing. This is an actual event that took place at Yankee Stadium. I discovered this nugget, and reported it in MY blog, (with my own Red Sox flavored seasoning, of course.) If you watched the video closely, the first woman apparently left without incident. The woman in the black shirt gets up from her seat and appears to calmly walk down the steps to check on her friend. The large female officer immediately jumps in her face, initiates the contact, and provokes the Sox fan. That woman reacted in a knee-jerk manner (which is almost understandable if you’re of that disposition) and then when she realized seconds later that she was up shizz creek, she backed off. Incidents like these are supposed to be swept under the rug? I think not. Security at ball games has to be, HAS TO BE, as unbiased as umpiring a game. This post was never meant to be any kind of political or racial statement one way or another. I viewed it strictly as an incident of unfair security practices at Yankee Stadium. Since I now live 3k miles from Fenway (which makes me no less of a fan b/c of that), I unfortunately do not have the opportunity to attend games there as much as I would like. I invite any regular Fenway attendee to post about security at the park, including a comparison to that of Yankee Stadium.
