Probably the worst thing I've ever heard
May 5, 2008
Seriously, people. Sticks and stones. How can you even begin to justify what happened in Nashua?
I've been reading the comments on the bottom of this article on foxsports.com and I feel nothing but shame that we have to share this world with people who feel no sympathy for the family of Matthew Beaudoin.
Reading things like -- He had it coming....get used to it....soon enough it will be legal to run you over so long as we hit ten of ya at once..... say one thing is true out of all this: Ten points! :D and 'Is it me or is the only thing wrong with this story is that she only took out 1 red sox fan?'
I don't give a damn if you like the Sox, the Yanks, the Reds, the Rockies, the Rangers or the Rays. You do not take someone's LIFE because they insulted your team! What has our world become?!
And for people to actually applaud her for her actions??!!!
Did BoSox fans stand up and sing when 9/11 happened?! I'm sure thousands of Yankee fans lost their lives in the Towers. I can certainly say, I was heartbroken for the families of those people. Just as I am for the family of Matthew Beaudoin.
And to this woman, Ivonne Hernandez . . . . I have a firm belief in Karma. What goes around comes around. Do unto others as you would have done unto you. I can say only this: You will have to live with this one choice, this one act for the rest of your life. It will wake you at night. It will haunt your dreams. You have taken something very precious. Something no amount of money and no number of "I'm sorry's" can mend. A life. This young man was someone's brother, someone's son, someone's best friend. It doesn't matter that you thought they would move out of the way. It doesn't matter what was said about the Yankees. What matters is how you reacted to WORDS. That's it. WORDS. And the sad part is . . . . the man that was killed, wasn't even the one who said it. He probably thought it, but he didn't say it. It is actions like this that create the hell that we live in today. Sadly, this is just one of many incidents that result in death over something someone SAID.
My fellow fans . . . let us pause for a moment in honor of one of our own, and reflect on where we draw the line. Love for our team, or respect for human life.
Luv RM
