Sean Casey

RedSox.com has a great article on Sean Casey. When the team signed him, I was very excited and thought he would be a perfect fit. What I didn't expect was how easy he would adjust to his new role. I just love the fact that a guy can sit on bench for weeks and still come-in, and have great at-bats, or play in field with great skill. Not an easy thing to do. It is such an impressive thing. Plus what a great role model for the young guys. To see a veteran starter take a diminished role and not mope or pout, but excel is just what they ( and everyone else) needs to see. What a great example of professionalism and leadership. Also, Sean has such a great personality and brings such joy to the game. The article said that he loves being a Red Sox and playing in Boston, you can't beat that. Great job management, getting this guy and I hope everyone in the organization takes advantage and learns from this guy. Great player!!! Great attitude!!! Great person!!!
