Well Manny is now spending the rest of the 2008 season in Hollywood with the Dodgers. I will miss Manny's offensive numbers and good luck to him in the rest of his days in the game of Baseball. I do however feel bad for the two young players in Moss and Hanson that will be stuck in the now present day baseball hell a.k.a my home town Pittsburgh.
Now let me say a few words about the man that will now be playing left field tonight replacing Manny, Mr. Jason Bay. To be honest with...

If Manny gets traded his bat and offensive numbers will be missed and will most likely will be extremely hard to replace in the Boston line up.
The question that keeps coming up in my mind has to be Is Manny being Manny turning into a bigger problem than it appears to us the fans of Red Sox Nation. The concept of Manny being Manny is all fun and games for us the fans, and we all enjoy his on and off the field antics. We all like Manny making cell phone calls from...

I understand that this site is dedicated mostly to news and blogs about everyone’s favorite teams the Boston Red Sox, but seeing that we are all baseball fans i wanted to write this blog to inform people about a amateur baseball tournament that will be taking place this August 11th through the 17th.
The All American Amateur Baseball Association (AAABA) National Tournament will be holding its 64th annual tournament in the little...

I live in Pittsburgh PA and work as a bartender and the past week some of my regulars keep coming up and asking me if the Sox are trying to trade for Jack Wilson from the Pirates. I personal can not see this deal being done. I am sure the Pirates want some of are good young players in return and i just can't figure out where Wilson would fit in the line-up. Lugo is making a lot of money and although Wilson is probably a better defensive player and can swing the bat well i can't see the Sox...

Well we are stuck in the three slowest sports days of the year. only major sport event is the MLB All Star game, which is just a exhibition for the fan and players that lost its appeal when baseball started inter league play. Up until that point the only time the national and American leagues would play each other were the World Series and the All Star game.
Well after these next few days of boredom the Sox open the second half of the year with there last West Coast trip till...

With the 2-1 win this afternoon and the Tribe finishing off their sweep of the Rays everyones favorite boys of summer are now in 1st place by a half game.
The Sox came into the last week before the all star break down 4.5 games to the Rays after a 3-7 road trip. I personally was just hoping that they could just make up 2 or 3 games on the Rays during this latest home stand. Well as it turned out the Rays offense went M.I.A. and they lost 5 straight and the Sox were able...

I made the almost 600 mile drive from pittsburgh to go to the game tonight. It was good to see the offence come out swing early with to two out 1st inning solo homeruns. Youk came through also hitting his 1st MLB grand slam (Congrats Youk). the pitching staff also did a masterful job as Wakefield, Hansen, and Timlin combin to hold the O's to one run on 2 hits. Good game tonight guys and go get them tomorrow
