High hopes

On Saturday night I watched Angels in the Outfield. Wow, that is a pathetic sentence. However it did get me very excited about tomorrow night's game. It also didn't hurt that the film has Matthew McConaughey playing outfield...
I was at a friend's house last night for MNF and a friend of mine was going on about how she wasn't going to get her hopes up for this series - excuse me, but isn't getting your hopes up the very foundation on which Red Sox Nation was built? We were getting our hopes up long before the 2004 season and I fully intend to ride my hopes up the centerfield flagpole - injuries or otherwise.
