So since our boys wont be making another trip to northern California for the remainder of the 2008 season, my boys and I will be tearing up San Jose's Municipal Stadium, decked out in Sox gear sitting right behind the dugout. The best part about it is the next JetHawk appearance in San Jose is the 4th of July weekend. So now I have an excuse to sit around all weekend and watch baseball, OUTF*&KINGSTANDING!

Any other team in baseball losing a star, such as David Ortiz, would be scrambling to find a replaement. So after Friday night I was disappointed, and my friends and I left the game and ended up closing out the bar. I love watching the way these kids play ball! The way Masterson took the hill like he belonged there, the way Lowrie has looked through the early stages of his career, but mostly the way Pedroia, Ellsbury and most of all Papelbon have pushed everyone to secceed with the energy they bring to the dugout. The energy that makes those late inning comebacks possible. You look at other teams stacked with vets and they dont play this kind of ball. Hopefully everyone can keep this energy level up...

So I dont know if it's just in California but why the hell are Major League teams making their hats in other teams colors. I don't agree with the decorative hats (although I understand why they make them its just not baseball) but the generic team logo hats with other teams colors, come on. Thats a big thing about supporting a team, wearing THEIR colors. Growing up I could identify the hat someone was wearing from any angle by the colors, as could any other real baseball fan.
