You Want Closure?
February 19, 2009
Well, here it is. Over the past week or so I've seen a few RSM-related blogs appear on the home page. Now, the issue I have with that is the members of RSM never did anything to draw the attention. In each of those blogs I read that the author was only on this site for the Sox and to talk baseball. Yet those blogs were fixated on a group of people and not on baseball at all. If you look through every single blog in Sawxheads.com history, you will see that I never once berated somebody for posting something non-Sox or non-baseball related. I believe that everybody is entitled to their own opinion. However, if you want the site to stay friendly, don't post provoking blogs about people in which you have nothing to do with in the first place. Especially when you're insulting people and they never threw around "RSM" in the first place. If it's the three letters next to our display names that bothers you, get over it. Seriously. I am STILL receiving messages from people about these blogs and I didn't even insult people in any one of them.
My fellow RSM members have done nothing but post baseball-related posts yet we're still the center of attention. For what reason? Did somebody threaten your dog or something? Did I miss a legitimate threat that would trace back to RSM being a crime-related organization? Whatever happened to individuals in the past, I can't give a reason or explanation for it. All I can offer is this: Let it go and move forward. If you spend your time living in the past, you can't build a future. I am merely posting this as a site-wide response to these messages. Not trying to drag it on. Just trying to get people to leave me alone about it.
I am a proud member of RSM and if you think it's "stupid" or "childish", I could really care less. If I cared what people thought, I wouldn't be a member. Remember, non-RSM on this site GREATLY outnumbers RSM members on this site. Blood is thicker than water and each member of RSM is like family to me. RSM goes to games together, bars together and other get-togethers together. So if you think it's a way to "look cool" or "fill a void" in our lives, you're wrong. Don't insult what you know nothing about. We're also not trying to "prove our fanhood" to anybody. I don't care what people think about my support of the Sox. They've been a part of my life for a heck of a lot longer than this site has.
RESPECT-LOYALTY-FAMILY
I see NOTHING crime-related about our motto. How about spending more time educating yourselves and less time obsessing over a group of people.
