Detroit would proabably be a good fit for 'Tek. then again, what team wouldn't want his leadership?!? I hope he stays but I can't blame the Sox for letting go eventually.

I don't believe Tek would be good as a back up, he needs to be playing when ever there's a game. He is a big time leader, and the tigers would have to listen to him-not gonna happen lol10/30/2008 4:15 PM |

With the young pitchers - Lester, Masterson, Delcarmen, Papelbon, and hopefully Buchholz, Varitek is needed behind the plate, even if his hitting stats are now mediocre.
