I agree - I think that's just not right - why reward a guy who forces his way out of town by quitting - he deserves nothing, I guess it's their money they're allocating and not the teams! I just hope that if, by chance, we won it all again Manny would not be get a WS ring - that would definitely be a slap in the face to all of us. 10/17/2008 6:30 PM |

I think this is fair and right. I also think this speaks volumes about how the players REALLY and truly feel about Manny, as opposed to the BS the Front Office and Media wants you to believe. Thank God, most companies pay you whether you give 100% all the tiime or not. There'd be a lot of hungry kids in the world if they could stop paying you if you didn't. Mine included. I thought it was cool that if the Sox had faced the Digdgers in the WS Manny would have been guaranteed a winning share and a losing share of the WS pay- And he'd have gotten a ring no matter what. Well, technically he didn't "play" two thirds of the season. He wore the uniform, but didn't actually play. I'd have voted to give him half, personally. But it's wonderful to see our players feeling this way! Shows what amazing guys they are!! 10/17/2008 8:47 PM |

The Team Voted and that says alot. The replies I'm seeing here just reflect my belief of the Front Office and Media SMOKE SCREEN and the Railroading of Manny.
