About Me

I'm a west coast Red Sox fan, got hooked on the Sox in 1967, pulling for Yaz,Lonborg and all of those guys. I live in Brookings, Oregon which is right on the Oregon coast near the California border. It's a long way to Fenway park but it has never stopped me from being a huge Sox fan, especially with all of the information and fan's that are on the internet. I have seen the Sox play in Oakland, Seattle, LA, Texas and Boston.

THE GM

Hey Kanna - its been awhile -- YES I certainly do feel very fortunate and humbled by the success of the Sox the past 5 years -- Win or lose tonight the team showed guts to get back in the series and take it to 7 games -- I'd love to see a Philly/Sox WS but we need to tale care of business in TB first.

Hey SoxDog...Great season, didn't like that called 3rd strike on Drew and I keep thinking Dustin missed a 3 run dinger in the 8th by millimeters at the bat head. We will get them next year, right!!!

kannaman..

Hey kan, its been a while - yes it was a late night but a good one! Funny thing was I had trouble falling asleep at 1:30 AM - UGH! I'm now looking forward to Dice-K tomorrow night and a chance to go up 2-0 with Beckett in the pocket.

Hey Kannaman, I hope you are feeling better -- some of the calls in last nights game did not go the Sox way -- but I ain't going to cry about that since they had plenty of chances to win that game. Damn 2008 kardiac kids did us in again. I hope we can now do to TB and reciprocate a little bit.

It's been 41 years since that season, and some are saying the Rays are pulling off their own version of the Impossible Dream -- I do see some similarities - sadly even in tonight's loss in the 9th to those guys.

I think this Rays team has better pitching but they don't have Yaz...I think the Sox will catch them, Beckett is our horse, Toronto has been trouble for us, we need to take it to them this weekend.

kannaman..

Hey Kannaman, thanks for the comment on my '67 team...I wanted Hawk to be the DH but he wasn't eligible there, so I put Tony C as the DH (which didn't exist in '67). Adair and Jones served as good utility players but it I recall correctly Foy and Andrews were the starters more often than not. Harrelson became the everyday RF after being acquired shortly after TC was beaned if you recall.
