About Me
Lifelong Red Sox fan. In the summer of 78, my family moved from Leominster, Mass. to New Jersey - Yankee Country. In the year of Bucky F. Dent. I grew up a lot that fall...
Better Memories:
1988 - was out to sea (Navy) when McNamara was fired. The Sox were doing badly when we shipped out. In Hawaii, I picked up a paper and was reading about "Morgan's Magic" after their 16th win.
1990 - On board the Enterprise (the carrier not the spaceship) - we were able to get ESPN's Sunday Night game - Red Sox vs. White Sox, last of the season - and saw Tom Brunansky disappear out of view on a diving catch to clinch the division.
I also do some baseball writing, including a book on Minor League baseball that was published in 2004. It doesn't focus exclusively on the Sox, but former Sox guys I interviewed include Bobby Doerr, Mel Parnell, Dave Koza (Paw Sox hero), Rick Burelson, and Walpole Joe Morgan.

Seamus - Nah! the house has an extra bedroom in the basement - a good place to put the stuff I've accumulated out on display. I'm more interested in the unusual or fun - if it's expensive, I don't want it. I like for poeple to be able to pick things up, not look at them through a glass case. posted @ 03/19/2008, 6:25pm |
