My thoughts...

I am very ecstatic about the dramatic comeback by Boston this past week, and am looking foward to the series to come.  Here are some of my thoughts:

Why is Daisuke getting torched so bad?

I think we need to give the man a break.  This is his first year in the best hitting league in the world, he is used to six days of rest rather than five, he is used to a shorter season, and he is used to only having 5 opponents.  In my oppinion, he did enough to help us get this far, and that's good enough for me. I look for him to be an incredible player next year.

Why would Theo Epstein be blamed if we had lost to Cleveland?

Now I do know that Drew, Crisp, Lugo, and Gagne have been major busts.  Theo picked up these players for the better of the team! If you take a look at their stats pre-Boston, they were all good players. JD Drew had good power numbers, and could hit lefties, a slight upgrade over Nixon.  We've been looking for a solid and consistent shortstop since the fall of Nomar, and Lugo looked to be a good young fit who could also put up decent power numbers for a shortstop.  Crisp was supposed to be something absolutely special, and in my oppinion, he is.  He has a better glove than any outfielder in the league, and has saved many hits, even games, to help out our pitchers.  I believe at the plate he should be utilized in more hit and runs and sacrifice bunts.  Gagne was the most dominant closer in baseball for a couple years, then fell to injuries.  He made a comeback in Texas and was pitching great until he was traded to Boston. Some people just can't handle Boston pressure, and Epstein cannot handle that.

Beckett and Pedroia: Award Winners

If Josh Beckett and Dustin Pedroia do not win Cy Young and Rookie of the Year, I will have to question the fact that the MLB is rigged.  After last year's MVP choice, it would not surprise me to see Billy Butler walk away with the ROTY award, or Dan Haren with the Cy Young.

I think Lugo and Crisp have done fine in their respective positions, especially in the field. By the way that Joe Buck and Tim McCarver were talking the other day, Asdobal Cabrera is the shoe-in for ROY. What a joke! He's a solid player, to be sure, but can't match Dustin in any way, shape or form. Beckett is hands down the Cy Young winner, but again, those two Faux broadcasters who hate the Red Sox said that Sabathia had it locked up! Haren? No way! If Beckett and Pedroia don't win, I think we need to have a revolution, RSN! A real Boston tea party, where we protest the votes!
