 The Sox pinned the Royals for the count last night and look to pull of a two out of three decision in this royal rumble as they drubbed Kansas city 8-2, the sox bats were red hot as they pounded 13 hits to pin the royals for the decision, Jason ( sitting by the dock of the bay ) Bay continues to impress going 4-5 with two rbis and scoring two runs , Bays average with the sox is 429,. Manny who ? Just kiddin , but seriously this kids play has been quite impressive. Makes you wonder how many all star births he would have had if he had played in Boston or New York ,surely more than the two he has garnered
Josh Beckett went to 10-8 as he allowed just 2 earned runs in 6.2 innings of work , country had 7 strike outs and two walks to go with the four hits he allowed, Beckett who had been 0-3 with a 5.31 era over his past three starts looked like the Beckett of old in the win . Kevin Youkilis kept his 12 game hitting streak alive as he went 2 for 5 including a triple and a run scored. . Tonights Match up features hard luck Tim Wakefield 6-8, 3-77 vs. Luke Hochevar 6-9 , 5.62 era
