ITS A FAMILY THING!

JUST AS I SUSPECTED, THE MEDIA AND EVERYONE IS UP IN ARMS OVER THE RECENT "MANNY INCIDENT" AS ITS BEING CALLED! WHATS MY TAKE? READ THE TITLE OF THIS BLOG!

"In the clubhouse, this is a family and whatever happened in the clubhouse, it stays in the clubhouse," Ramirez said. "Me and Jack, our friendship is good and he's going to continue to be my friend yesterday, today and tomorrow. So everything is fine. What do you want me to tell you?"

THAT SHOULD MARK THE END OF THE WHOLE THING! BUT....THE MEDIA LOVES DRAMA.......SO, THEY ATTACH THIS INCIDENT TO "MANNY-BEING-MANNY", AND BELIEVE ME/YOU........YOU KNOW THEY ARE DYING TO START WRITING ABOUT THE CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS THAT WILL ENSUE NEAR THE END OF THIS SEASON, ATTACHING ALL THE MANNY INCIDENTS.

FACT IS, THIS TYPE OF SQUABBLING HAPPENS IN EVERY CLUBHOUSE IN THE LEAGUE IN ONE FORM OR THE OTHER. I DONT PUT MUCH STOCK IN THE OVER-HYPING ALL THE MEDIA, AND NAYSAYERS ALIKE, PUT ON ALL OF THIS. IN THE PREGAME INTERVIEWS LAST NIGHT, EVERY PLAYER AND COACH STARTED TALKING ABOUT THIS INCIDENT WITH THE SAME WORDS "WE ARE A FAMILY"! AND THATS ALL THIS WAS.......A LITTLE FAMILY SQUABBLE. ITS OVER, AND THATS THAT! GO SOX.......AND PLAY BALL!

Manny had the guts to tell him that throwing equipment, and acting like a brat, was not appropriate, and Youk lunged at him. It's not the same as this. Manny is not out of control. Did he act badly during this latest incident? Yes. Does it require further punishment? That's up to the Red Sox front office. It this thing blown way out of proportion? Absolutely! In the real world not the gloriuos life of a por ballplayer if you put your hands on someone and pushed then to the ground you would be arrested for assault. Hey pohnz I'm a Manny fan and always have been one, And I even defend him when people say he's a lazy butt but being a fan and being a good person are 2 different things. If you work go in tomorrow and physically assault your boss or a coworker and let me know whats happens to you. You'll probably have to do it when you get out of jail.
