Now TB has fans?!

Okay, Time to rant and I know this topic is of little surprise to most Bostonians...
For the past few years, the wife and I would shoot over from Cape Canaveral (where we will die someday), over to St Pete for the Sox series in the Fall.
The parking lot was a blast as it was entirely occupied by Sox fans livin' the High Life! You could count on one hand all the "Devil Rays" fans in attendance. There were vacant seats as far as the eye could see.
Now, they're "there" for the team? The Boston fans, and I must dare I say the NYY fans, have done a great service to that white elephant of a park AND the small downtown businesses. When that area was on life support we helped keep that stadium afloat -for many seasons. (Look at the old photo att'd., Where are their fans??)
Residents of Tampa Bay, You've got a lot of blood and tears to shed before you're considered worthy of a Title from "your" great team.
Incidentally, for those that haven't yet, I suggest a visit to Ol' St. Pete preferably during the Boston series . It's a charming little walking city once away from TF. And since the early '20s has been a great old baseball town as well (Boston Braves and NYY spg tng.) Thanks for reading, it's medication time. Steve F
