* The Red Sox are 1-8 on the road in A.L. East ballbarks this season. Their lone win was on April 17th at Yankee stadium.
* Of Boston's last 8 road losses, 6 have been by one run with 3 of those being walk-off losses
* Over the last 5 days (1-4) the Red Sox have gone from having a 3 1/2 game lead in the A.L. East to behing a half game back of Tampa Bay
* The team is 5-4 in games which Terry Francona has missed since he took over in 2004.
* Sox starters have allowed 5+ runs in 3 straight games for the 1st time since April 2007.
* Jon Lester is 3-0 all-time against the Orioles
* Manny Ramirez passed Mickey Mantle for 4th all time in RBI's vs the Orioles with 145 to Mantle's 143
* OF Jonathan Van Every will be making his MLB debut today. Starting in centerfield. He was batting .287 with 6 HR's and 20 RBI in 40 games for Pawtucket
