Trigger Happy at the Trop

Tampa Bay security tasered a Red Sox fan this weekend. Busted Coverage provides these two videos, but no mention is made of what the fan did that caused the Trop security to respond with tasers, but I do notice that 1, possibly 2 of the security guards (law enforcement wannabes) are the same ones who nearly tasered Sciesinski last month.

We went to a Red Sox/Devil Rays game last year, and my husband wore a Yankees Suck shirt to tropicana feild, and the "security guard" told him that he needed to go and buy another shirt otherwise he was going to get kicked out and banned from ever going back to Traopicana Field. Section 15- Did you not even read the post? This is NOT the same incident that happened at the Trop last month. This is a new incident. This fan according to the source, was actually tasered, and not just threatened with being tasered. I posted it because IT HAPPENED. I am not going to sweep it under the rug, and if I hadn’t posted it, someone else would have. We don’t know what this guy did to become apprehended and tasered by Trop security. We don’t know if he was being a belligerent drunken @$$#0!e, threatening violence towards others, or if Trop security guards are a bunch of loose cannons. (It could be a case of the latter, as 2 of the guards in these videos are the same who took down Sciesinski last month.) TerriBabe69 in her comments corroborates my assertion that Trop security are a little quick to react in negative manners. In any event, this Red Sox fan was TASERED. I’d be very concerned if his was a minor infraction and Trop security over-reacted. I am not ‘glorifying’ anyone, I’m just reporting events that happened. Do you consider coverage of the war in Iraq to be ‘glorifying’ that confrontation? It is a miserable and horrible existence for all those involved there, but it still gets reported. 	The OP simply presented the videos with no inference towards the nature of the infraction or the reaction of security. The only remark even coming close to an opinion was that the guards are the same ones who aprehended Sciesinski. 10/14/2008 8:39 PM

	I lived 15 minutes from Tropicana back in 2004,,and I worked at a major sopermarket near Sarasota. it cost me 35$ for very good tickets the only Ray fans were old old people everyone there loved the Red Sox, only recently do the rays have any fans at all,, 10/15/2008 7:55 AM

	I saw another video of tropicana wannabe security holding back a kid while his dad get tasered. Fans are yelling tase him, tase the kid, shoot the kid. Idiots all of them. And there seriously about 20 lame security in the area. F**k everything to do with that stupid stadium. 10/15/2008 3:42 PM
