So 4.55% of people in here voted that the Rays would beat the Red Sox. What I want to know is what sort of fans would even consider the idea that Boston would falter? Okay, okay I know Beckett looked bad and I know Lowell is out for the series but gee wiz folks Boston made it this far, we took one out of two in Tampa and we have Lester going for us in game 3. Sure Ortiz has not hit a home run in a very long time and sure Jacoby has not earned a hit as of yet that just means they are ready for...

It is said by a reporter speaking on behalf of Boston, that Dice-K should be the starter on Friday with J. Lester taking game two. Dice K has had a long layoff and so we shall see how well he fares with the rest. Wait a minute, Dice K used to have a longer rotation in his home land so the long rest should do him well.Lester, however, will be on short rest so he might be on a shorter pitch count. All in all, we have a solid rotation of pitchers to matchup against the Rays and best...

I have a lot of people in my fantasy leagues who have become fair weather fans of the Rays, simply because they are tired of me shouting "WE WIN". Tonight one particular goober said to me that Lester will only get one start and that the Rays have better pitching. I reminded him that first and foremost we are not the White Sox. There will be no easy wins for the Rays against Boston. Second I reminded him that we have experience in the post season, way more than the Rays...

Dustin Pedroia who has not had a hit during the series looked poised to golf swing another shot onto the Monster. I could just feel it and so could he. That shot was just a rocket into left field. With Ellsbury catching a break on an error in the infield we went up 2 runs. But what I loved the most up to that moment was Kotsay making that run and dive for a foul ball. He did it again going out toward the field with an over the shoulder basket catch. You can feel the electricity...

In the post season they always seems to have the ability to find someone on their roster to come through in the clutch.Tonight the Angels tied the game 5 a piece for a few minutes before Drew hit that Home Run. With a sore back he hits his first home run since late July. Great timing. Tonight Boston Stuns the Angels again.11 consecutive beatings over...

Jon Lester 7 strong innings! Boston takes 10 straight from the Angels in the post season. That is a new record. Lester gives up only one run but, best of all, Jon Lester comes in, in place of Josh Beckett, and does what he needed to do. You just can't say that about too many pitchers is these type of situations.Lester who started the fourth game of the World Series simply picked up where he left off. The momentum is in our corner with Dice-K pitching on Friday and Josh Beckett set...

These are the words I shared to Angel fans who were trying to tell me today that Lackey is going to cream Lester. Guess what? When I gave them this little reminder they shut up.Still a scoreless game as I type this that is until Ortiz hits a blast next inning. Right?

Today is that last home game at Yankee Stadium. E.S.P.N has put together a nice piece on the History of Yankee Stadium and honoring past greats is fine. Any and all baseball fans can look back at various players, regardless of what team he played for and say, "that guy was awesome!" . Yet as I looked on that E.S.P.N program and indeed recognized that Yankee Stadium is historic, I began thinking about Fenway Park all the more. Fenway Park, like Yankee Stadium is historic....

Okay, before you shoot me here please listen first. The New York Yankees have just benched their star second baseman, Cano. They benched him for "lack of hustle." What they have right is benching their players. They should bench the whole darn lot of them. The Yankees are also on the right track by getting rid of their stadium. However, where they fail is that they are making yet another stadium. What they should be doing is creating a baseball park. Why are they not...
