Who has tickets?

I've already seen "tickets" on sale for Boston's playoff picture. Of course these are advanced but, they are out there. It is a shame that scalpers obtain so many of our tickets and I often wonder how they obtain them?

Surely loyal fans will not give up a chance to cheer for the sox simply because they can make a profit off the tickets?

Some buy from season ticket holders. Some small-timers manipulate the lottery system and obtain tickets. You tend to see the small-timers peddle their wares on E-bay and other lists. Some brokers have had their own season ticket accounts for many years. Keep in mind, however, that when you see 150-200 tickets, it's not that the MAJORITY of season ticket holders sell to these guys -- there are 25,000 seats under season ticket agreements, so the vast majority of people who enter Fenway are doing so on UNscalped tix. 	I know season ticket holdrs that live in Maine and simply can not get to every game. I kow alot of businesses that hold season tix and give tx to employees, clients, etc. who may not be able to attend. There are a number of reasons why someone can't go to a game. Maybe selling the play off tix is how they afford to buy the seasons tix. 09/25/2008 7:58 AM

	Well, I don't know of any company who has tickets who can't find an employee to attend a post-season game. NO - season ticket holders live for these games. But a limited number just sell all of them. 09/25/2008 8:32 AM
