Jon Lester 7 strong innings! Boston takes 10 straight from the Angels in the post season. That is a new record. Lester gives up only one run but, best of all, Jon Lester comes in, in place of Josh Beckett, and does what he needed to do. You just can't say that about too many pitchers is these type of situations.
Lester who started the fourth game of the World Series simply picked up where he left off. The momentum is in our corner with Dice-K pitching on Friday and Josh Beckett set to take game 3.
Red Sox win game 1. Way to go Boston!!!!
