Mailbag: Hazel Mae (Day Three)
July 30, 2008
Hi everybody. Hope you're enjoying my mailbag this week. Keep sending me your questions - the more the merrier!
From “Vincenzo” in Roslindale, MA My colleagues and I were wondering what restaurant or bar you'll miss most in Boston.
HM - Boston's such a great city for people with appetites - like me! There's so many, but I'm going to say... Abe & Louis' Steakhouse on Boylston St. My absolute favorite is their steak and lobster salad. Its to die for! What's even better is the service their. They take good care of you! Go check it out. You'll likely see me there if I'm in the area.
From “oldtimesoxfan” in Nashua, NH hi there Hazel !!!! I just wanna say that you are truly missed, but far from forgotten.... they were fools to let you slip away...i'd have a bear hug on you..lol..anyways i hope you have a great future on the boob tube, you really did brighten up my set...take care and see that beautiful face on the waves....Respect Dave p.s. thanks for the add
HM - Thanks for saying that. Leaving a pretty good gig is always scary - change is scary, but in my heart of hearts I made the right decision to leave. I look forward to the day I can announce the next chapter in my career. Thanks for all the support now and in the future! In the meantime, GO SOX! Thanks for the question... Hazel
From “red sox adam” in Las Vegas, NV Good morning Hazel. wow the angels are really starting to sc are me. what's your thoughts on the Manny situation? Do you think th angels are for real?
HM - Hey, Adam. Good afternoon to you! I talked about the Mark Teixeira acquisition and Manny situation on Day Two of my mailbag, so check it out. As for whether the Angels are for real? a RESOUNDING YES! If you thought they were good before, wait until the newest weapon - Teixeira - joins them. The Angels have it all.. outstanding starting pitching (as Lackey displayed at Fenway), a record-breaking closer (K-Rod/Thigpen), and offensive punch that could blast away in their sleep (Guerrero/Hunter/Anderson). Let's hope the sox can stay with them Wednesday, and avoid a rare home sweep.
From “Rocket Jr.” in Milford, DE How are you doing today?
HM - lol... this made me smile because it was short and to the point - and genuine. I'm doing great, thanks. Please say hello to everybody in Delaware. Now that I have some free time, I really should head over there and visit.
That's it for now. I'm here all week, so don't be shy and send me your questions. Thanks for the support as usual, and I'll look forward to chatting with you tomorrow.
