Now that the American League has clinched home field for the World Series -- that means that season ticket holders will have to fork up the money for a possible FOURTH home game.....and the public will get a lottery shot at another game....

Seriously,  it's a GOOD thing.    Although some will say "oh,  it really doesn't matter,  now,  does it?"   -- if you were a ballplayer,   where would YOU rather play the first two and last two games?    In the other guy's park?

Daily temperatures are in the 90s now,   but it's not too soon to be thinking about October baseball.    Hats,  gloves,  sweatshirts and thermal socks.

 Like the old schmaltzy campfire song "Michael" declared =

"CHILLS THE BODY BUT NOT THE SOUL!"

I'm looking forward to it.   But there's a lot of summer and a lot of great baseball before we get there.    Let's enjoy the second half of the season,  too!
