Correct Beard Procedures
September 28, 2008

Now the regular season is over and the Sox prepare to head for the gray smoky city of LA we have to get stuck in to the important questions.

World Series Beards.

This was bought up in a previous blog (sorry I couldnt find it to give credit) and there was many people who were starting or had been growing a Postseason Beard. Now we need to get to the proper procedures for this. I personally have not shaved since I was preparing to come to Fenway for the first time at the end of August, and its starting to get a bit rough. Does the Postseason beard have to be left to grow wild or can it be trimmed and styled ala...

Fellow Sawxheads I need your input. My season at home starts on the 5th of October so I will be taking the beard on to what hopefully becomes a winning season for my own team. Last year the team stole last place away from everyone else but this is a new year. We have new players, new blood and some good additions to our pitching staff. Hopefully the beard can help.

CaliGrow..
You bring up a very good question. I'm not sure if there are correct playoff beard procedures. For me, I have a goatee normally so I'm growing the full beard in (and itching like hell I might add) I trimmed up on the #1 setting on my beard trimmer for the first week (little longer than stubble length) For Week 2 I shall have my beard trimmer set on #2. And for Week 3, setting will be on #2. These aren't firm rules of course, they're more like guidelines. Keep the Faith; 14/09. ...View More

I'd also like to add that blue rally scarfsies (as seen in my default photo) should be worn during every game for luck.

Well, I prefer if the women keep their playoff goatees trimmed. Aside from that, whatever works, works!

I will not be growiong a beard, therefore I will need to purchase myself a blue rally scarfsie. I will also watch every game with my little Yaz bear.
